1. Adjust belt tension for desired intensity level
2. Lie on stomach
3. Place both hands flat on surface next to head
4. Use arms to lift upper body off surface
5. Return to starting position

Appropriate for low back pain that increases in sitting and or an individual that experiences pain relief in a standing position

How it works: Lying on stomach creates slack on musculature in the low back. The belt provides tension on the tight muscles releasing the tightness/tone.

REPS: 5-15 reps every 1-3 hours or when pain increases

Typical Symptom Response:

  • Positive: Relaxation of muscles, possible increase pain or pressure in the center of the spine. If any pain is perceived in the leg, the pain will move up the leg and towards the low back
  • Negative: Area of pain becomes larger in diameter or moves into the buttocks or leg.

Appropriate for patients with a internal disc disruption, disc bulge, and disc herniation.

How it works: Places the spine in the correct position to relieve pressure on the disc.
