DDD/Stenosis/Spondylolisthesis
  1. Sit with waist strap secured at waist just above back pain
  2. Hold onto resistance bands
  3. Bend forward
  4. Wrap arms with the resistant bands around the knees

How it works: Once the muscle has calmed down, flexing the spine forward will gently stretch the strained muscle and improve overall function.

REPS: 2-4 for 15-30 seconds every 1-5 hours

Typical Symptom Response:

  • Positive:  Relaxation of muscles, possible increase pull or pressure in the center of the spine.  If any pain is perceived in the leg, the pain will move up the leg and towards the low back
